 Semi-detached property - Basement construction and complete structural refurbishment for private client in Notting Hill area.
Basement extended beneath much of front and rear gardens as well as whole house. Involved deep structural underpinning of Party Wall, sheet piling to basement perimeter, temporary propping of sheet piles and support to existing house whilst basement excavated.
Contractors Design Services, working with Vitpol Building Services, were responsible for the sheet pile design (installed by Giken Europe BV) and temporary propping to same, underpin stability, providing a detailed sequence of works and temporary support to the main house.
Adjacent properties were monitored for movement during works.
